Course Levels
UBIS welcomes all students of The Urantia Book. Every one of us has read a paper or section for the very first time. Some topics are more challenging than others. At UBIS we explore and grow as a community. Our courses are collaborative, so everyone learns together.
If you are new to the revelation, we recommend that you start with a basic or intermediate course.
LEVEL: Basic
This course should feel comfortable for any student who is eager to study The Urantia Book with others. It has been designed to offer a fairly straightforward study of the material. Naturally, some topics are more challenging than others, but the study questions should help you gain a basic knowledge and comprehension of the material. More advanced readers are welcome to enroll but should be considerate of their fellow students.
LEVEL: Intermediate
This course has been designed for the student who is already familiar with many of the concepts and ideas in The Urantia Book. The study questions may explore a deeper understanding of meanings and values. Newer readers are welcome to enroll, but should not feel intimidated when more advanced readers apply their knowledge during discussions. We all learn from one another!
LEVEL: Advanced
This course has been designed for the student who has read the entire book at least once. You will be expected to have a strong working knowledge of the terms and concepts found within The Urantia Book. You may be asked to evaluate, synthesize, and integrate the concepts being studied. Together you will explore the finer aspects of the paper or theme and make connections with concepts located in other sections of the book.
